Jazzmyne and Austin’s October wedding at The Magnolia Terrace in Frisco, Texas was the perfect mix of elegant wedding details, lush greenery, emotional moments, and one seriously good party. This beautiful Frisco, TX wedding venue was the perfect setting for their celebration, with romantic garden surroundings and a gorgeous ceremony space filled with greenery.

This was my very first Texas wedding, and I genuinely could not have asked for a better couple or vendor team to experience it with. Every vendor brought so much to the day, and I would happily work with any of them again!

The Magnolia Terrace in Frisco, Texas is the perfect Dallas-area wedding venue for couples who love greenery, romantic spaces, and an elegant garden-inspired atmosphere. With its lush landscaping, covered outdoor ceremony space, chandeliers, and glass-enclosed reception room overlooking the gardens, it feels like a little secret garden tucked into the Dallas area.

If you’re searching for a Magnolia Terrace wedding photographer or looking for wedding inspiration at this Frisco venue, Jazzmyne and Austin’s wedding is full of ideas. You can explore the venue on Magnolia Terrace’s website or see more of its beautiful spaces on Instagram.

Getting Ready at Magnolia Terrace
We started the morning with wedding details, dress photos, flat lays, and fun bridesmaid pajama pictures. Jazzmyne had three different outfits for me to photograph, so there were plenty of details to capture before the day really got going.

And of course, this wasn’t going to be a completely traditional wedding morning. We had champagne glasses, fun content ideas, and Jazzmyne jumping on the couch! Jazzmyne is a content creator, so she came prepared with plenty of trends and creative photo ideas she wanted to try. You can follow her on Instagram at @pimpinjaay 🙂

Beyond all the fun photos and social media moments, Jazzmyne and Austin were genuinely two of the most down-to-earth people. They were kind, easygoing, and down for just about anything. That combination made their Magnolia Terrace wedding photography experience so much fun.
The Guys Getting Ready
After photographing the girls, I headed over to capture the guys getting ready while Jazzmyne finished her touch-ups and got into her wedding dress.
The guys were absolutely chaotic, in the best possible way. Instead of trying to make everyone stand perfectly still, we leaned into their energy and captured some hilarious, candid moments. Sometimes the best wedding photos happen when you let people be themselves rather than trying to make every moment look perfectly posed.

Austin specifically requested this hilarious photo, which honestly ended up being one of my favorites from the entire day.

Once I finished with the guys, I headed back to catch the end of Jazzmyne getting into her dress. Her mom zipped her up while her best friend helped her put on her shoes. These meaningful in-between moments are always some of my favorites to photograph.

Two Very Different First Looks
Jazzmyne had a first look with her stepdad, which was such a sweet moment before the ceremony.

Austin, however, had a slightly different experience. He did a first look with his best man, who he thought was going to be Jazzmyne! These two have such a close relationship, and the entire thing was hilarious. It was easily one of the highlights of the day.

Afterward, I photographed the ceremony space, bridal portraits of Jazzmyne, and more wedding details around the venue before guests began arriving.
A Beautiful Magnolia Terrace Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony space at Magnolia Terrace in Frisco, TX was absolutely gorgeous. The greenery surrounding the space and the elegant garden setting made it feel romantic without needing a ton of extra decoration.

It was hot, as Texas weddings in October can still be, but we survived! Once the ceremony began, all eyes were on Jazzmyne and Austin.

After the ceremony, we moved into family photos, followed by wedding party portraits and couple photos. I loved creating a gallery that combined elegant wedding portraits with genuine, candid moments that show just how much fun everyone was having.

Film Photos From the Wedding Day
One of my favorite things about wedding photography is mixing digital photos with film. Film brings a different texture and feeling to a gallery, and I love how it captures the atmosphere of a wedding day.

For Jazzmyne and Austin’s reception, I handed one of my film cameras, my fully automatic point-and-shoot, to one of the bridesmaids so she could take photos during the dance party.
Here are some of the fun film scans I got back from that camera!

I love including creative additions like this because they let the gallery tell the story from another perspective, especially during the parts of the day when everyone is dancing, laughing, and completely in the moment.
Dinner, Speeches & One Incredible Party
After portraits, everyone made their entrance into dinner, followed by speeches and the first dance. Then it was time to open up the dance floor.

And when I say this party was a banger, I mean it. Everyone brought the energy, and it was one of those receptions where the dance floor stayed fun all night.

Between the speeches, dancing, cake cutting, and spontaneous moments in between, there was never a shortage of things to photograph.

Magnolia Terrace was such a beautiful backdrop for the entire celebration, from the elegant ceremony space to the lively reception. It’s a venue I’d happily recommend to couples searching for a Frisco, Texas wedding venue that combines garden-inspired beauty with an elegant atmosphere.

They finished the night with a bubble send-off, which was the perfect ending to such a fun wedding day.

Traveling Wedding Photographer | Texas & Beyond
One of the best parts of being a traveling wedding photographer is getting to meet couples in different places and photograph weddings that feel completely unique to them. This was my first wedding in Texas, but this year I’ve also photographed weddings and sessions in New York, California, Wyoming, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Wisconsin, and beyond.
Next year, I already have weddings taking me to Utah, Virginia, California, Arizona, Wyoming, and other beautiful places. I love exploring new locations, and I would gladly return to photograph another wedding at Magnolia Terrace.
